Please join with our project team and help us bring a safe water source to 1600 people in Uganda. The people of Amolatar are in dire need of a safe water source. Presently, both children and adults walk for 2 miles each way, just to get swamp water. These people are returnees to the area having had to flee in the past due to the war.

Goal   Raise $12,000 to fund drilling of a deep-water well for 1600 people by December 2009.

How   We are using a fourfold strategy to raise funds for this project:

  • Direct Donations - simply click on the secure link below and make a personal donation via credit or debit card.
  • Honorary Gifting – give on behalf of a friend or loved one. Know someone who would be honored by having a gift donated in his or her honor? Make a donation and send us your postal address by filling in the "Join Team Amolatar" form. Just indicate your preference and we’ll send you an honorary donation card you can share with your honoree.
  • Garage Sale – if you could help organize a sale site or donate goods to our garage sale fundraiser, please send us an e-mail at AmolatarProjectTeam@gmail.com
  • Team Recycling – find out more about our recycling fundraising effort by e-mailing us at AmolatarProjectTeam@gmail.com

Who are we?   We’re just an average middle class family in southern California – joined by many other people who want to make a difference in this world. The Amolatar Village project started out over our Christmas dinner table last year. Our family decided to unite by investing our various talents, time and treasure to raise funds to provide a gift to another community that would change lives by Christmas 2009.  We know we can’t do it alone. But, with the help of a virtual community of people who care about other people, we can get it done.

We’re inviting you to join our team and radically change the lives of 1600 people in Amolatar, Uganda.
